

Mr. LeRoy James Carver, of Hemet, passed away at home on December 14,2011at the age of 74,. Lee was born to Mabel and Ted in Bonneville, WA on October 10,1937 while his father was building the Bonneville Dam. His love for the ocean and his country led him to serve in the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 where he was an aircraft engine mechanic. After the Navy he lived in Newport Beach and continued his electrical studies at Orange Coast College. His electrical studies at Orange Coast College. His electrical career led his family to Huber Heights, Ohio where he was promoted to President of the energy company. His company was responsible for inventing the dimmer switch for homes. His family refers to the switch as " Grandpa's switch". Lee volunteered many hours to DARA, an organization of amateur radio operators that helped coordinate rescues and get information out during disasters in Ohio. His family was very important to him. He enjoyed golf, fishing and playing card games. His family describes him as intelligent, giving, thought provoking, funny and very loving. LeRoy was predeceased by his wife and soul mate, Amber.
He is survived by his children Lisa Barnes, David Lack, Malissa Laws, Deborah Paulson, Dianna Coppoth, and Dennis Lack. Internment will be in Riverside National Cemetery and the Pacific Ocean to be joined with Amber for eternity.
