Lloyd Vike

Lloyd Vike, 75 of Hemet, California passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018, at Kindred Hospital in Perris, California .

He was born Monday, April 26, 1943 in Portland, Oregon. He was the husband of Diana Vike, whom he met at a YMCA dance when she was a senior in high school and they danced together for 57 years.

Lloyd was a family man. He did what it took to keep the family together. He was kind, loving, and accepting and was loved by all of his friends and family.

He served in the U.S. Navy for four years, and he worked as a Maintenance Supervisor at Solar Turbine for 18 years. After he retired, he opened his own handyman business and worked until handing it over to his son, David.

In his free time, Lloyd enjoyed RVing, fishing and camping, and he enjoyed building furniture. He and his wife, Diana, enjoyed buying homes and remodeling them to create the home they wanted. Together, they bought and renovated 9 homes.

Surviving are wife, Diana Vike, son, David Vike, daughter, Deborah Kay Holladay, and grandchildren, Ryon Fellman, Andrew Holladay.

Interment will be in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests monetary donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association in Lloyd's name.
