

Lloyd McWain Woods, 96 of Hemet, California passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015. He was born on Friday, December 13, 1918 in Price, Utah, to Lloyd and Mildred Woods. Lloyd is predeceased by his wife Gladys Woods and his grandson Troy Woods. He is survived by his son Don Woods of San Marcos and daughter Denise Bentz of Hemet, his five grandchildren: Todd Woods, Tracy Falkner, Lari Ludwig, Keith Ludwig, and Keri Duncan, and his seven great-grandchildren: Alexandria Ludwig, Keith Ludwig II, Taylor Duncan, Bradley Duncan, Adrian Ludwig, Dexter Falkner, and Brandon Woods. He married the love of his life, Gladys, in 1941 and they were married 70 years. They lived and raised their family in the South Bay where he worked as an electrician for 40 years as a member of the IBEW Union. After retiring, he and Gladys enjoyed their time by travelling all over the country in their motor home and playing countless rounds of golf. They moved to Hemet in 1990 and he has been here ever since. After losing Gladys over 3 years ago, Lloyd would love to show off pictures of her on his iPhone everywhere he went, especially Polly's, The Maze Stone, and Dattilo's. He was the true patriarch of his family and loved them very much. He has made many friends in Hemet who have become like extended family and he was very grateful for them. Lloyd had many stories to share and usually had a good joke or two as well. He lived a long full life In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choosing or to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Hemet.
Interment will be held privately at Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
