Loretta 'Jean' Jackman, 89, of Canyon Lake, CA, passed away quietly in her sleep on Friday, June 6, 2014 after a short illness. In her final days, Jean was constantly surrounded by her children, grandchildren and her partner of 7 years.
Jean was married to Woody Jackman for 30 years prior to his passing in 1980. Woody and Jean had one son, Bruce, and together, they raised Bruce, Marlene, Sandy and Glen. During her childhood school days, Jean attended elementary school with Marvin Rudolph, who she became reacquainted with while attending class reunions over the years and which whom she became a partner for the last 7 years, enjoying a cruise to Greece, trips around the United States and a quiet home life in Canyon Lake.
Jean was a wonderful woman who raised her son, Bruce, on her own, after Woody's passing. She was a tireless business owner who worked until the young age of 81 in the mortgage business and then settled in to retire in Canyon Lake.
Jean is survived by her four children, 9 grandchildren and partner, Rudy.
The family will receive friends at the viewing to be held on June 19th at Miller-Jones Mortuary on Murrieta Road in Sun City. Viewing for immediate family will be from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm and will continue until 8:00 pm. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:31 am on June 20th at 10:31, section 8 at Riverside National Cemetery.
For all who have had the distinct pleasure of knowing Jean, we have lost a truly wonderful woman, mother, grandmother and friend.
