Mom, as the days go bye I thought it would get a little easier, but it doesn’t. Everyday waking up thinking it’s a normal day, but quickly realizing it’s not. I’m still trying to accept the fact that your physically no longer here with us. But now always in my heart! I wish I had a chance to have our last conversation together because there’s a lot I didn’t get say. Like thank you for the love you gave me , my wife , my daughters , my friends and our families. I’m going to miss your homemade cookies ( mine with no walnuts) and your macaroni salad that you would always make me by the pound. You were a great mother and I’m going to miss you dearly ! I couldn’t stand to see you suffer those last few months not doing the the things you loved . But now as I struggle through this there’s one thing you taught me is to be strong! Say hi to little grandma and grandpa and I will always miss you. You were on of a kind and I will think of you everyday. I love you!  Your eldest son Frank.

Frank, you know how I feel about you brother. It wasn’t all that long ago that Judy and I met you and Lucy. We had instant respect for you both. I noticed that in our Vietnam Veteran Commemoration meetings, Lucy always sat on the edge of her chair, eager to jump in and volunteer for whatever needed to be done. She was skilled, adept, flexible, reasonable and her inner beauty was ever present. We hold her in the highest regard even after knowing her but a few short months. It seems like we have been friends forever. We will miss her hugs and her sincere interest in us and everyone else. You know I am here for you Frank. You leaned on before and expect you shall again.

I met Lucy when she came to work at The Press-Enterprise (early ‘90’s ?) and instantly we became friends. She was a little ahead of me on the life experience track and was an inspiration - gave me hope and insight on how to build a good life! I admired her gentle strength, her adoration of Frank (and vice-Versa) her eye for decor, and those parties!
Sending my condolences to the family she loved so deeply. May you find peace and comfort in knowing she surely is an angel now.

Eddie, Jeanette, Little Eddie and Daryl,
We are heart broken for you!  Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your family.  The memories and moments with Frank and Lucy will be cherished.  Especially our last trip to North Carolina!!
Lucy always treated my kids as her own and us as family.  I will always remember Lucy as a kind, caring and loving person.

This is your hubby baby.  I miss you very much.  You were my whole life and I am lost without you.  Rick said it best.  Us four, Lucy, Rose, Frank, and Rick, we were the best of friends.  Now Rick and I are left behind to lend each other support through these trying times.  I couldn't have asked for a better friend than Rick Martinez.  Lucy and Rose were very beautiful women and the best of friends.  Rick told me what I told him: she won me over with her eyes!  They both had beautiful eyes.  Well babe, I know that you are in heaven now and that God is taking care of you.  You were the most wonderful wife a man could ask for and I will always miss you and love you.  Like you always said, you are tenacious. I was inspired by your strength as you battled for over 7 months to beat all your illnesses!  I render one last salute to you baby and may you rest in peace.  One day we will be together forever.  Your husband, Frank Romano.

Lucy will always hold a special spot in my life. She and my late wife Rose Marie Martinez were a special pair. She, Frank, Rose Marie and myself met at the VFW in Moreno Valley and an everlasting friendship arose from then untill now. Frank & I because of our love of music, Lucy & Rose hit it off as if they had known each other their entire life's. They seemed to have been joined to the hip. They were both VFW Auxiliary members in Moreno Valley then later in the Temecula VFW. Anytime they VFW had a fundraiser, there they were. Lucy & Rose; Rose & Lucy. Even in sickness they seemed to have done it together. Finally in death they seemed to have done it together. Rose Marie passed away on August 12, 2019 and then Lucy passed away on October 11, 2019. Almost 2 months to the day. Now these two beautiful ladies who were as they said; sister's from another mother are now forever joined at the hip with our Lord. We should not mourn their deaths, but embrace the joy that was brought to those who were lucky enough to have met these ladies. Lucy, you are now pain free and no longer suffering. It was a pleasure and honor to have met you and call you a friend. You will be missed but your memory will continue. Do me one last favor when you get to heaven...Say hello to Rose & tell her I miss and continue to LOVE her.

Dear Danny, Sandi and Family,
May the love and memories that you have in your hearts for Lucy give you comfort in
the days ahead.  My heart goes out to all of you.  I have been blessed by receiving one 
of Lucy's beautiful crafts.  It is a clear glass block filled with Christmas lights and tied with
a beautiful Christmas bow.  It is on display in my home every Christmas season bringing me much joy.  I treasure it even more now.
