Marcella was born the youngest of 5 children to John N. and Susan Klein of Fredonia, Wisconsin. She had 3 brothers who have previously passed away Clarence, Elmer and Raymond and one sister, the first born, Loretta who will be 100 years old April 28th this year.
Marcella wasn't interested in school all she wanted to do was get out of the small town. Her first move was to Canton, Ohio to stay awhile with a girlfriend. While out dancing one night, she met a handsome, wavy haired, good dancer named Danny McCann. Danny was very interested in Marcella, she just liked the way he danced. Danny was an Air Force Sergeant, Tail Gunner during WWII, fighting the War in the Pacific. While fighting overseas Marcella became a "Rosie the Riveter" in Canton, where she gave herself the nickname Connie.
Connie and Danny would see each other every time Danny had leave. Soon those warm feelings a girl gets when she sees the man she loves came into play and it was more than just two people dancing. On March 13th, 1945 they were married, 9 months later came Bonnie Lee, their only child. Marcella (Connie) was married to Danny for 42 years. Danny passed away in July of 1987, Connie lived out her life in the home Danny bought her in Sun City, Ca until she passed away. Her daughter Bonnie and son-in-law Gil were at home with her when she passed.
Connie will always be remembered by her friends for her athletic abilities and competitiveness in sports. Connie and Danny won many trophies over the years in golfing and bowling. Marcella (Connie) will be cremated and laid to rest with her love Henry Daniel McCann at the Riverside National Cemetery. I would like to think they will meet again and continue the dance in heaven.
