Maria or more fondly called as Mama Iyay or Mama Maring was born on the 25th of January 1936 in Rapu-rapu, Albay, Philippines. She moved to the US with her husband, Emilio, in April 1994.
She is survived by her eight children, Tin, Rose, Manny, Ning, Obet, Dina, Jun and Rey, sons-in-law Ver and Pampit, daughter-in-law Carol, nine grandchildren and their spouses, and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Emilio, and youngest child, Vic-vic.
Maria was a loving mother, selfless, nurturing, protective and a beautiful soul. She opened up her home in San Juan City, Philippines for calamity victims and was very generous to the community who came to her for help. She always loved to cook for her loved ones and was a doting grandmother and great grandmother.
