Marie Isabell McDowell passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2015 in Menifee, California surrounded by her loving family. Marie was born on June 21, 1922 in Linn County, Iowa to the late Lee and Jennie (Anderson) Schatzle.
Marie was a resident of Sun City and also lived in San Diego County for many years. She was a member of Santee United Methodist Church, which was a big part of her life.
She is survived by her children, Glenda Sharpe of Sun City, Larry McDowell of Lakeside, California and Stanley McDowell of La Mesa, California; her two sisters, Norma Rowe and Charlotte Kepler and her brother Phil Schatzle; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 11am at Santee United Methodist Church, 8964 N. Magnolia Ave., Santee, Ca 92071; she will be interned at Silver Creek Cemetery.
