Marvin Elwood Alexander passed away on December 28, 2018 at the age of 87. Marvin is from Los Angeles, CA born to the late Juanita Ilean Carson on December 31, 1930. He was the husband to Sumiko Alexander.
Marvin joined the Army in 1948 and served in the Korean War. He met his wife and married in 1954 in Japan. By the time he retired from the Military in 1968 he had three sons and a daughter. He did have one more son in 1970 and started his journey with the State of California as a Manager to the kitchen staff at numerous State Facilities. He retired from Norco State Prison in 1995.
He enjoyed watching sports and keeping track of the stats of each team. He enjoyed watching the little leagues teams and of course his San Francisco 49ers.
He is Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Sumiko Alexander, his daughter Angela M Shaw (Tim), his sons George O Alexander (Karen), Mike P Alexander (Peggy), John S Alexander (Eleanor), James W Alexander, Fourteen Grandchildren and Four Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother Juanita I Carson and his grandparents John T and Emma L O’Keefe and Curtis N O’Qwin.
