Marv was born Monday, August 4, 1930 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He was a director for Boeing (McDonnell-Douglas), where he and his wife, Jean, both worked and retired on the same day in 1990. Marv worked at Douglas for 37 years. Marv adored his family and was always there to help, regardless of the circumstances. One of his favorite things to do while the boys were in school was to take the family on annual vacation to Lake Tahoe. Marv set high ethical and moral standards, and taught his sons the importance of treating others with respect, persevering in attaining personal goals, and having a strong work ethic. One of Marv's "hobbies" was to mow the lawns, do yard work, and watering on weekends - it was his time of exercise and "escape" from the rigors and demands of office confinement.
Marv was definitely a great people person and had a great sense of humor. Marv could put a smile on your face and make you feel special. His family describes him as a wonderful father and husband that would do anything for a neighbor or a friend. All who knew him were touched in some unique way, and he will be missed and fondly remembered by many.
Marv is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Jean; his sons Bruce and Greg; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Mark.
Private Family Services will be held at a later date.
