

Michael Allen Cross, 76 of San Jacinto, California passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021, at home with his wife Jana by his side. Michael was born on Saturday, August 5, 1944 in Los Angeles, California and was the son of the late Pierce and Louise Cross. He was married to the love of his life, Jana for over 52 years. He worked for Pacific Bell as a switch-man for over 23 years. Michael proudly served in the US Army as an E3 from 1963-1966. He and Jana attended St Anthony's Catholic Church when they were able. Michael and Jana liked to camp so off they took their four children and explored the western United States in their car and tent. No hotels for this family, they liked to explore, hike and be part of nature. Michael was an avid fisherman and loved to fish in the local lakes near Hemet. In fact, he attended opening day in 1973 at Perris Lake to be one of the first to fish that lake. He also loved to watch sports, with his favorite teams being the San Francisco 49ers and the Boston Celtics. His family describes him as having a very generous and loving personality with a great sense of humor. He will be missed by family and friends that knew him and loved him. Surviving is his wife Jana Cross; son, Peter Cross ( Saori ); daughters, Kathleen Jump ( Johnny ); Michelle Flores; and Julie Cross. 5 grandchildren, Alyssa, Karina, Kellon, Rika and Aiden.
A graveside service with Army Honors will be at Riverside National Cemetery, August 12, 2021 at 10:30am.
