Paul Sullivan passed away on Monday, November 11, 2013 in Hemet, California. He lived to be a centurion and passed at the age of 100. He was born on Sunday, June 8, 1913 to parents; James and Nora Sullivan in Salina, Kansas.
A man who never met a stranger, he was always happy and a man with a very sweet disposition. Fortunately, he met the Love of his Life, Pearl and was able to enjoy 39 years with her and their shared family of eight. His interests were many and he was extremely active. He and Pearl golfed together and traveled all over the United States, visiting their many friends and family. Their family knew that when Paul and Pearl came to visit them, they would have to visit in-between days of golfing. "We'll see you when we see you!" they would say and off they would go! Paul and Pearl loved to ballroom dance and play shuffleboard. In fact, it was at the age of 92 that Paul aspired to be the pool champion of Sierra Dawn. As if that was not enough, Paul was member of Knights of Columbus, Elks and a frequent volunteer to the elderly at their church. He and Pearl were volunteers for the National Red Cross.
As he aged, he remained joyful and his cheerful attitude left an impression on all those who tended to him. He had a great sense of humor and an easy smile. He never lost his curiosity.
Paul is survived by his sons, John, Richard and Terrill Sullivan and his daughter Patricia and step-daughters, Michele, Marci and Mari. Cherishing their memories with him will be his 20 Grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and his 11 great, great grandchildren.
Lastly, Paul had a zest for life. He often said and will be remembered for these words, which he always said with a smile, "Life is good unless you weaken."
