Phillip grew up in Melrose, Massachusetts. He was a successful business man and a true outdoors man. He loved anything having to do with nature and considered himself a "cowboy at heart". He loved animals and photography. Phillip was a skilled dog trainer. He was recruited during the Vietnam War to pioneer and train German Shepherds to serve alongside our soldiers. He loved his country and served with strong patriotism.
He was strong, charming and extremely intelligent, often enjoying a friendly discussion over political views. Most importantly, Phillip was a proud grandpa. He adored his grandson's Michael and Robbie.
Phil will be greatly missed by his daughter, Katie and her husband, Daren and their two sons; Michael and Robbie. He will be forever remembered by his sister, Ann Olsthoorn and her husband Kees and their two children, PJ and Susan.
Phillip Johnson touched many lives and will be truly missed by a host of extended family members and friends and all those who were honored to know him.
