Dick was born Thursday, October 15, 1936 in Los Angeles, California, he was the son of the late Wilfrid Day and the late Zola Burns-Day.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1954-1957. Dick was very proud of his career at Boeing North America where he worked as a contract administrator for 17 years.
Dick was a responsible man and a downright good guy and very loyal, when it came to family he was where ever he needed to be when something important happened. He loved his parents and did what he could to make sure they were taken care of.
He also enjoyed his routines, just about every morning he would walk to his local donut shop for a donut, coffee and to buy his lottery scratchers.
Dick was always interested in learning about people and would ask questions about their life and family. He also had a passion for his old Volvo and Triumph. He would never buy a new car, he would just reupholster the seats or do whatever the car needed to keep it running.
Surviving are daughter, Diann (John) Block, brothers Rowland Day, Michael Day and grandchildren Hannah Somera and Jesse Somera.
