Al was born in Nettleton Arkansas on May 20th 1919, and passed away on November 2, 2014. Al and his new bride Polly left Arkansas in 1941 and drove across the country to California where they lived first in San Pedro before finally settling in Torrance. In 1944, Al volunteered for the draft and served in Europe as a machine gun squad leader during WWII eventually earning the rank of Sergeant. In 1946, Al was discharged and reunited with his wife and little girl Sandra. Al hired on with Richfield Oil Company, first as a tanker truck loader and then working his way up to supervisor. He worked for Richfield, later to become ARCO, for 32 years and retired in 1975. Al and Polly then moved to Anza where they lived until 1982 when they then moved to Hemet.
He is survived by two sons: Robert Davis (Maureen), David Davis (Dee) and three grand children:Donald Bradley (Toni), Colleen Rodriguez (Alfonso) , and Jennifer Schuerman (Bryan). He is also surived by 5 great grandchildren
Al was preceded in death by his wife Polly, a daughter Sandra Bradley, and a granddaughter, Michelle Davis.
Al was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
