I have always considered myself luck to have been able to be part of the Farnell family. I grew up across the street from them, and Jessi was my best friend. They treated me like family, they were kind to me, and Bob was always up for having fun. I was flooded with memories when I heard about him passing away, the countless trips to Big Bear, Bob trying to teach me how to ski, the Lake Mead trip, trips to the auto parts store, countless sleepovers, and more. My daughter has heard all the stories. I still hold the Farnell family close to my heart, and found myself very sad about his passing.  Sending love to everyone in the family.

Bob, you were a BRIGHT LIGHT in a dark room. We will never forget your sweet smile and encouraging words.  I will always miss you.  Our hearts are broken 💕You will never be forgotten.❤️Love you Betty

Uncle Bob was a very special man. He had a heart of gold and he was so funny. If you had a solemn face when you walked into a room where Bob was, by the time you left, you had a smile on your face.  You will be greatly missed.

Uncle Bob was a really great guy. I have great memories of the time he tried to teach me to surf (I got knocked unconscious:)) but I felt cool doing it. He was always ready to lend my mom a hand when he would come to visit Georgia -- always fixing things and building things. And I had some really great times with him when I worked with him for a season in Lake Elsinore. He was hilarious. He had a heart of gold. He will be missed.

"Bob"   A man who wore many hats in his lifetime. Always having the most fun in whatever he chose to do. He had been a lifeguard, a mason,  ran a restaurant, owned a parts store, sold christmas trees,  even became  a real estate agent,  Surfer, skier,  swimmer. Part time comedian and amatuer .Playboy model. His effort and energy motivated everyone around him. One of the funniest people I know.  Making laughter the best medicine so many times. Caring and kind- hearted.  we won't be the same without him.                                                       The world was brighter with him in it. I hope his memory makes you smile. Love your Life Bob, Rest in Peace.  See you on the other side.

Robert may be gone from our sight but never from our hearts.                  Robert is survived by his life partner of 37 years.  His son Barry and daughter Jessica. Grandson Kaimana and Granddaughter Lola.  Great Grandson Huku and Step children  Greg and Stephanie.  He  had great love for them all. Robert had even been credited with saving countless lives during his time as a LA county lifeguard.  He will be missed greatly.

Those who have given of themselves to others will live forever in every single heart they have touched, and Robert has touched many hearts.
