Ronald Wayne Huxell passed away on Tuesday, May 10th, 2016. He was born on Friday, October 5, 1962 in Santa Monica, CA to Edward and Chloe Huxell. Ronald leaves behind his devoted wife, Sonya Huxell and four amazing children, Corey, Blake, Adam and Brooke.
Ron was the most important man in his family’s lives, he was their role model, and touched the lives of so many, more than his family ever knew. He never once thought about himself. He lived first and foremost for his family. Ron worked tirelessly, slaving over monstrous Ford Diesel trucks, Monday through Friday, with the occasional Saturday, always leaving early in the morning and getting home late.
Ron moved to Hemet from Ohio, at the age of 10, and grew up in poverty unparalleled to the situations of most. He grew up in the back of his Mom's antique shop, the fourth child among five. He always told his kids that they should have grown up poor, because going without forces one to find true happiness. However, he was always quick to add that he hated poverty more than any adversity he'd ever faced, so much so that he could never, and would never, allow his family to experience it.
After his family, Ron looked after anyone who needed him, especially if his unrivaled automotive repair skills were called upon. He was, without question, the most honest and knowledgeable automotive technician (he always scoffed at the title “mechanic”) the west coast and the world has ever known. He began the trade at 14 in his dad's shop, and was perfecting his skills almost every day until the age of 53.
Despite his unmatched commitment to his work, it was no secret that he lived for the weekends. Ron’s family have the best memories of their lives vacationing anywhere and everywhere with him, starting on Friday night and ending late Sunday. This was priceless time they got to truly spend with him and they relished every moment of it.
Ron Huxell was an amazing man and human being. Most knew him as a lighthearted jokester, as an extremely helpful soul, as a man who was loved immensely by the massive group that called him friend or family, and as one of the very few selfless people to come out of this world, who would do anything for those he cared about.
A funeral service will be held at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 10am.
The family invites friends and family to join them for a reception at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 1151 Park Ave. San Jacinto, CA 92583.
