

Sharon Louise Savoy was born August 23, 1950 in Herlon, California to Charles Joseph Young and Barbara Jean Davidson. Sharon was the youngest of her siblings, which includes her oldest brother Raymond LeBlanc, and David Wayne Young.
Early in life Sharon and her family moved to Beaumont, Texas, where she lived until the age 11. Her family relocated to Livingston, Texas following the marriage of her mother, Barbara to Mr. Louis Preston. Around the age of 15 Sharon and her family relocated a second time to Houston, Texas. Sharon attended Jack Yates High School, she graduated in 1968.
Sharon became a license beautician 1970 after completing Franklin Beauty School, in Houston, Texas. She worked as a hair stylist for thirty-six years and operated her own beauty salon for several years in Beaumont, Texas. On December 13, 1970 Sharon wed James Edward Savoy from Beaumont, Texas. They knew each other since childhood; they remained married for 43 years. Three years after Sharon and James married, they had their only child, a son named Sharmez Savoy. Very early on Sharon established tight and loving bond with her son. Rarely would you see one without the other. Sharon diligently instilled the values of hard work and education into her son. Often she exposed Sharmez to opportunities she felt would make him well rounded, while echoing the values she was instilling.
By 1989 Sharon relocated with her family to Inglewood, California. She continued to work in her profession. In 1993 she and James relocated to Perris, California, where she would spend the remainder of her life. Sharon was a strong willed and highly spirited woman. She had a hearty and boisterous laugh that could easily feel a room often heard in the beauty solon with her patrons or at home where she had a keen since of style and avidly enjoyed decorating.
On April 15, 2006 Sharon suffered a near fatal aneurysm, which impaired her health for several years. Sharon left her Earthly existence April 9, 2014 after a long valiant fight. Preceding her was her beloved grandparents, Geneva and Charles Z. Young, her father, Charles J. Young.
To forever cherish her memory is her husband of forty-three years, James E. Savoy; son, Sharmez Savoy; mother, Barbara J. Preston; brothers, Raymond LeBlanc and David Young; their wives Karen LeBlanc and Flora Young, nieces, Ree'monigue Gunter, Karissa Y. Ogle, Desiree and Delisha Young. Through her marriage to James three sisters-in-laws, Melinda Pugh, Eva Rutherford, Margaret Harris; a brother-in-law, Joseph Sigers; niece, Rosalind Jackson, Joyace Soloye, Ronda De Los Santos, Nicole Collier, Kashalon Janea Sigers, Roshell Pugh, and nephews, Toddrick Pugh and Willie Harris.
Sharon struggles of seven years eleven month's and twenty-five days gave birth to Sharon's Acute Rehab and Alternative Care Giver Center (S.A.R.A.A.C G.C) a brain-child of James E. Savoy to bring awareness to person that coup with, care for person with brain injuries.
To bridge the gap between conventional and alternative care, giving the patients the best care imaginable,
while tending the needs of the caregiver, utilizing recent and future technology.Providing scholarship funding for persons in the medical, legal and business arena and aiding in the construction of exiting and new facilities.
Close to real life condition, a planed mu-it use facility will house a physical active center for the care giver as well as equipment for therapy for the patients. A theater for entertainment as well as a lecture hall, restaurant, shopping mall, studio type units for short term visits. It will promote education, entertainment assistance and legal support. Reintroducing the family back into the care of love one, though reducing the
need to warehouse in long term care facilities.
