on 2-26-2025, surrounded by the love of his family. After a courageous battle with lung cancer and Parkinson’s disease, Terry has found peace and rest.
Born on November 1, 1941, in Chicago Illinois, Terry lived a life marked by unwavering resilience, love and kindness. He was known for his quiet strength, sharp wit and generosity. After graduating from Naperville High School, he entered the Air Force and served his country for four years. After leaving the Air Force he went on to various professions including working for Motorola and AB Dick. Terry also started his own business adventures by opening a marketing company, Protel, and later a marine repair shop, Hull Thing.
Terry retired to Hemet CA in 2007. But Terry’s work ethic did not keep him from trying new things. He went to tax school and worked for many years for H&R Block. He then went on to manage the mobile home park, Juniper Terrace where he also lived. It was during his time managing the park, he discovered he enjoyed buying and flipping mobile homes.
Terry met his companion of 18 years, Carolyn Gibson, when he moved to Hemet CA. He was a devoted father to Dean Fitzgerald, Paul Clark, Robert Castoro, Lea Castoro, Joseph Castoro, and Daron Castoro. He also had a huge role in raising Allen Brown. Terry was a proud grandfather to 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He also acquired two bonus children, Dana Griffin and Connie Merkins, when he joined Carol Gibson’s family. He was a loving brother to his sisters Connie Cabell, Michelle Schneider and Diane Hoffman.
His family was his greatest treasure, and his legacy of love and compassion will live on in their hearts.
Terry is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Clark, mother, Phyllis Dubson and stepfather, Robert Dubson. Sharon Gord-Clark (1st wife), and Diane Castoro-Clark (2nd wife). His sons, Dean Fitzgerald, Robert Castoro and his sister Mary Sword.
In addition to his family, Terry will be deeply missed by many friends and the community at Juniper Terrace. He was well respected by the residents and was always willing to lend a hand.
A celebration of Terry’s life will take place on March 20, 2025, at 2:00pm, at MaWane Family Funeral Home. Located at 350 N. San Jacinto Street Hemet CA 92543.
Rest in peace, Terry. Your love and light will remain with us always.
