William "Bill" Phillips, age 70, of Hemet, went home to be with the Lord on April 11, 2012 after a long battle with melanoma. Bill was a native of Brooklyn, New York, and came to California in 1966. He served in the US Navy Seabees during the Vietnam War. He loved people and loved telling stories about his boxing days in New York.
Bill also enjoyed woodworking and the great outdoors.
He is survived by his 3 daughters, 2 sons-in-law, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
He will be missed.
