Harold Buchholz

Harold Buchholz entered into eternal rest on November 13, 2014 at the age of 88 years old. Beloved father of Leslie (Harold), Jay (Catherine) and Steve; cherished grandfather of Amy (Brian), Jessica, Christian (Alicia), Andrew (Allison), Steven (Victoria); Michael, Daniel, Jenna, Keith, Nicole (Adam) and Samantha; adored great grandfather of Daniel, Matthew, Sarah Pearl and Jayden and loving brother of Raymond, Paul (Evelyn), Herbert (Mitzi) and adored brother-in-law of Bernice.

Harold served in the U.S. Navy and was very proud to serve his country. After returning home Harold went into the meat market business and was a hard working family man. He was a good provider and always made sure there was food on the table for his family. He loved his family with a passion and always attended events his children were involved in. He enjoyed playing cards and bowling, but what he truly enjoyed was to just "hang out" with his grandchildren. He was a wonderful father, phenomenal grandfather, a good friend and simply just a "great guy."

Mr. Buchholz is predeceased by his cherished wife Pearl, brothers Leo, Carl, Sam; sister Ruthie and sister-in-law Florence.

A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 1:45 pm at Jewish Memorial Chapel of Long Island, 46 Greenwich Street, Hempstead, New York 11550 and interment will follow at Beth Moses Cemetery, Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, New York 11735.

Donations may be made in Harold's name to the various Wounded Warriors foundation of your choice.
