Andrew Gonzales

Andrew Gonzales, age 55, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024. He was born on May 30, 1968 in Espanola, New Mexico to Ramona Gonzales and Raymond Gonzales. At an early age the family relocated from Chama, New Mexico to Southern Nevada where he was raised with his two younger siblings. Andrew was active and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, playing basketball and baseball, and spending time with his closest friends, Alex and Vicente. He graduated from Basic Hight School in 1986, where he was a member of the Latinos Unidos.

On August 22, 1987, Andrew married the love of his life, Hermelinda "Linda" Duron at a church wedding in Fort Collins, Colorado. Together the family was blessed with six children. As their families grew, the couple were blessed with 22 grandchildren.

To support his family, Andrew worked as a line cook at both the Rainbow Club and the Eldorado until he was forced to retire for medical reasons.

Andrew was a loving husband, father and grandfather who lived his life for his family. He continued to enjoy the outdoors hunting and fishing; bowling, and playing softball. He was also a sports fan; supporting his favorite football, wrestling, and basketball teams.

Andrew lived his life to the fullest; enjoying every opportunity to spend time with his family. He was compassionate and kind; and will truly be missed.

Andrew is survived by his wife, Hermelinda "Linda" Gonzales; his children: Jessica Duron; Ernie Duron (Cynthia); Claudia Jimenez (Laura); Andrew Gonzales; Diego Gonzales (Jessica); and Dekota Gonzales (Jaclyn); his father, Raymond Gonzales; his mother, Ramona Gonzales; his siblings: Susie Gonzales-Strahl (Tim Strahl) and Ray "Mone" Gonzales (Tonya); 22 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Andrew will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Palm Mortuary Boulder Highway. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM; both at 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Andrew will be laid to rest in Palm Henderson Cemetery, in Henderson, Nevada.
