

Aurora Lorenzo Ordonez passed away peacefully at her home in Henderson, Nevada, on May 11, 2024. She was born on February 1934, in Iguig, Cagayan, Philippines. She was the eldest of the six children of the late Eligio Egipto Lorenzo and Florida Doliente Corsino, who worked as farmers and were also active in their congregation serving the Lord.
When she was 16 years old, Aurora volunteered as a Jehovah Witness’ missionary and was assigned in San Esteban, Ilocos Sur Philippines, which was 415 miles away from her home. It was there she met the late Loreto Bautista Ordonez, Sr. They married in Tuguegarao, Cagayan Philippines on September 29, 1953. Loreto and Aurora moved to Maui, Hawaii in 1969 and 1970, respectively, and were blessed with 7 children. Aurora worked for 31 years and retired from Sheraton Maui Hotel as a Room Attendant. After 38 years in Hawaii, they relocated to Henderson, Nevada and lived here for 17 years. Loreto passed away on August 10, 2017.
Aurora and her husband Loreto, Sr. are survived by their children: Larry (Jennifer) Ordonez of Mililani, Hawaii; Mario (Marites) Ordonez of Maui, Hawaii; Marvin (Carol) of Henderson, Nevada; Brendo Ordonez of Henderson, Nevada, Ador (Joyce) Ordonez of Maui, Hawaii; Bernard Ordonez of Henderson, Nevada; and Gerlyn (Danny) Racoma of Henderson, Nevada. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-chandchild. She’s also survived by two sisters in Maui, Hawaii, namely: Feliza Lorenzo and Magdalena Lorenzo.
Aurora will be remembered for her hard work, unending patience, kindness, and tenacity in raising 6 boys and a girl.
