Following a lengthy illness, Carole Bergeron, 72, beloved wife and best friend of Kenny Bergeron, entered the embrace of her Heavenly Father on December 9, 2017, while under hospital care in Henderson, Nevada. She was born on July 1, 1945 to Irene and John Tyner in Palm Springs, California.
Carole graduated from West Covina High School where her dazzling smile and infectious personality earned her a spot on the cheerleading team and, later, the title of Prom Queen. She met Kenny through her father, a “staunch marine,” at the American Legion Hall in Escondido, California. (Kenny was immediately smitten, and never recovered.) It was also where they married before heading off to their honeymoon in Acapulco, Mexico. Returning home, they settled in Sunriver, Oregon, with days spent boating and waterskiing on the Deschutes River.
Carole was talent personified: her gifts for interior design, crafting, quilting, cooking, decorating, keeping a spotless home and winning at card games came effortlessly to her. Community Lutheran Church was a major part of her life, where, active in WELCA, she helped with kitchen duties, created quilts and baby blankets, and assisted with garage sales, never without that world-class smile and a hug for everyone!
Special thanks go to Pastor Mike and Dianna Higgs, Reva Sparks, Lou Bergeron and family; Dr. Crampton and Dr. Sutera; Palm Mortuary; Western Arizona Medical Center, Henderson Hospital and their wonderful, compassionate nurses. Also, her cherished Community Lutheran Church family.
“God gave me a very special person in you; to encourage me,
stand by me; lift me up and never let me down; He filled a very
precious need, and gave me a treasure to last a lifetime.” - Kenny
