Damian Cayton Gonzales

DAMIAN CAYTON GONZALES of Henderson, NV, passed away on June 20, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 1, 1945 in Durango, CO; was raised in Blanco, NM and moved his family to Henderson in 1969. Damian was preceded by his beloved daughter, Wanda Lee, his brother, Duane, and his parents, Lee & Esther Gonzales. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carmen Gonzales, and his seven children —Max Gonzales (Lorenda), Valerie Sandoval (Charlie), Juanita Gomez (Adolfo), Denette Sandrin (Olacyr), Damian Gonzales, Nicole Lopez (Steve), and Patricia Schneck (Jamie). A loving grandfather of 28 grandchildren. Damian’s favorite word was “Grandpa.” He is also survived by his brother and sisters and their families— Karen Valdez, Robert Gonzales, and Norma Dominguez. Damian owned and operated Gonzales & Gonzales Concrete for many years; having his hand in many of the construction projects here in greater Las Vegas valley. He loved to tell jokes and stories, and to make people laugh. He was always inventing and building useful gadgets. His favorite thing to do was to spend time with his grandchildren and family. We loved him and will miss him. Dad, Grandpa, Damey rest with Jesus until we meet in heaven. We love you!
