

David R. Paetzel passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 30th, 2013. He was born November, 8, 1956 in Valdosta, GA. David was a well recognized interior designer here in Las Vegas where he was involved in many facets of the design culture. He was the owner of David & Co, and a founding member of Architecture & Decorative Arts Society (ADAS) as well their president and historian. He received recognition in Who’s Who of Interior Design and Who’s Who in the West. He was on the advisory board for Touro University School of Occupational Therapy in Henderson since 2005 as a public representative and advisor. He was a long time resident of Las Vegas and touched so many hearts with his humor and his exquisite design talent. He graduated from Izmir American High School in Turkey. During his time overseas, he was able to experience the ruins in Turkey and the amazing sites of Russia. He received an Associate degree in Architecture from Temple Junior College; Bachelors degree in Interior Design from Texas Tech University. He is survived by his mother, Barbara, sisters - Tamara (Wes) Amann and Vicki (Jeff) Hegge, brother - Michael; nieces and nephew - Erica (Chris), Amber, Daniel, Kristen, Courtney, grand nephews- Shawn and Justin. He is preceded in death by his father, Roger. The memorial service will be held at First Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at 301 S. Maryland Pkwy, this Saturday, May 4th at 11 am.
His memory and talent will forever live on.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to First Good Shepherd Lutheran – Paetzel Memorial or to Solari Hospice.
