Donald Lee Clements

Donald Lee Clements 64 of Henderson NV passed away Thursday. September 5, 2013 He was born to the late Howard R. and surviving Alene Clements of Shrewsbury KY on March 8th 1949. He married his best friend Susan Cope on December 4th, 1969 in Salinas, CA. Don met his wife after being drafted into the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged from service and relocated to Henderson, NV in 1977.  Don spent the next 32 years building his career and the city as a mason. He retired in 2009 from Scott Zemp Masonry. He spent his retirement days leisurely. He became immensely relaxed and happier than ever. He loved his pets- Big Boy, Lil Boy, Midnight and his baby girl Roxy. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grand children as much as possible. Don loved a good debate about anything and everything and never shyed away from telling the truth. He was an avid sports fan, he especially loved the Cincinnati Bengals. He is survived by his adoring wife Susan of 44 years and their 3 children- Billy, Donnie and Elizabeth. Their spouses Shannon, Corrie and Todd. His 11 grandchildren- Jaryd (22) Devin (20) Tyler (20) Kyleigh (16)Tanner (16) Hayden (15) Caitlynn (14) Luke (10) Isabella (6) Dain (5) and Jacob (4 mo) and great granddaughter Zoey (1) A private memorial service is being held Sunday. Don's remains are returning to Shrewsbury, KY where he may rest in peace in the family cemetery.
