Erika De Leon Funtila

Erika was born on May 8, 1990 at Dameron Hospital in Stockton, California. Her parents were Butch and Cely Funtila. Erika was raised in Henderson, Nevada. Erika was raised with three brothers. She had two older brothers, Alexis and Dennis, and one younger brother, FJ. Erika graduated from Foothill High School in 2008. She earned her Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the College of Southern Nevada. She also pursued a Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice at Nevada State College. Her work in school was still in progress when she passed away. She was employed for DSW and SECTA Varsity Team. She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic church for 15 years. Erika passed away on June 13, 2013 at US-95 in Henderson, Nevada. It was a tragic car accident where she was the only fatality. She is survived by her parents, Butch and Cely; three brothers, Alexis, Dennis and Franklin-Joel; two sisters-in-law Courtney and Khei; nephews, Preston and Dennis Jr.; nieces, Janelle, Peyton and Penelope. Services were held at St. Peter's the apostle Catholic Church. Erika was laid to rest in Palm Mortuary in Henderson, Nevada.
