Ernesto Meraz, age 80, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022. Ernesto was born November 7, 1941 in Chihuahua, Mexico. On September 25, 1965 Ernesto married Caritina Diaz, with whom he would spend 57 wonderful years. Together they had five children which led to nine beautiful grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Caritina, his children Manuel Meraz, Jorge Meraz, Lionel Meraz, Beatriz Meraz Shannon and Ernesto Meraz Jr. as well as his grandchildren Sara Meraz, Jorge Meraz Jr., Christian Meraz, Brandon Shannon Jr, Derrick Shannon, Cenovia Amanda Almaraz, Dominic Meraz, Emilio Meraz, and Zoey Meraz. All of whom will forever carry him in their hearts.
To honor Ernesto’s life, services will be held at Palm Mortuaries & Cemeteries on 800 South Boulder Highway in Henderson, NV 89015, where he will be laid to rest. A visitation will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM followed by funeral services from 1:00 – 2:00 pm and burial services from 2:00pm to 3:00 pm. A reception will follow at 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm.
