Kenneth was born in Stahlstown, PA to Paul and Sylvia Neiderhiser Keyser in 1934. He was a graduate of Ligonier High School class of 1953. Kenneth served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged November 1961, as a Sergeant. Kenneth and his wife Wilma spent most of their lives living in Stahlstown. They moved to Henderson, NV to be closer to their daughter Wanda, her parent’s caregiver, as Wilma’s dementia progressed. Kenneth and Wilma were very active with the Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Department for more than fifty years. When they moved to Henderson, they both volunteered at the Henderson Senior Center for several years. Besides his volunteer work, Kenneth worked in construction around the Ligonier Valley on many projects. He was also amazing at repairing small engines. Many days he woke up to a lawn mower, chain saw, etc. in front of his garage. It was a hobby he truly loved. When he moved to Henderson, he was a school crossing guard for over ten years. He loved the children and they loved him. He would take their broken bikes home before school and return the repaired bikes after school, utilizing his talented hobby.
