These are the times that create a hole in the universe for all who knew and loved my wonderful wife, Faith Marie De Sario. Faith was born on August 13, 1942 in Buffalo, New York to Regina Podniesinski Christ and Arthur Christ. Since Faith's father was a career United States Marine, Faith and her family lived on various USMC bases. Faith's father served our country in WWII and the Korean War and retired with the rank of Lt. Colonel.
When Faith's father retired from the USMC, they settled in the city of Orange, California. In California, Faith attended Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Faith received major parts in dozens of stage plays, and received rave reviews for her performances. In 1972 Faith became a member of SAG and AFTRA and had many small parts in movies and a major role in an episode of TV sitcom "Three's Company".
Every person who came in contact with my wife, Faith, loved her because she was a genuine loving, caring person. Faith loved children and animals. If she saw a person mistreating a child in the supermarket she would step in and intervene. Faith adored her existing family and kept in contact frequently. When we did attend mass we would hold hands and she would participate in singing with her beautiful voice.
In the year 1994 our whole life turned upside down. We just returned home from a wonderful Hawaiian vacation. Faith had a routine mammogram and was diagnosed with a small tumor. It turned out to be cancerous. The doctor said it was the least dangerous of known tumors. They removed a very small tumor and Faith endured a course of radiation treatments. By the grace of God, Faith was cancer free for the remainder of her life.
In 1998 we relocated to Henderson, Nevada. Faith fell in love with Henderson. She was so proud to be a Nevadan. She made so many wonderful friends that loved her company. My heart is broken for the loss of the love of my life. Faith was a wonderful woman, and I have a vision of Jesus hugging her right now.
A visitation for Faith will be held Monday, July 21, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Palm Henderson Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. A funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 10 am at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 204 S Boulder Hwy, Henderson, NV 89015. Faith will be laid to rest at Palm Henderson Cemetery immediately following.
