Frances Lucero

Frances "Kika" Lucero, age 79, loving mother of three, nana to seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren, passed away on the 13th of September, 2022. She was born on March 1, 1943 in San Mateo, New Mexico.

Frances loved the Lord, her family, traveling and ice-cream. Our dad used to tease her that she always had her suitcase packed ready to go. She remained steadfast in her faith and her life exemplified the embodiment of a believer. Her presence, loving phone calls, words of wisdom and encouragement will be missed. We take comfort in knowing that she is in the presence of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and her light from heaven will shine down on us.

Frances is survived by daughter: Evelyn Marez and husband Greg of Kingman, Arizona; son: Benito Lucero and wife Jeana of Henderson, NV; grandchildren: Racheal Garcia and husband Gustavo, Joshua Lucero Marez and wife Codi, ReAnne Salcido, Chantelle Marez, Kylie Lucero, Lexi Marez and Darien Lucero; great grandchildren: Mariano Garcia, Isaac Garcia, Colton Lucero and Jaxon Lucero.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband: Benny Lucero: daughter: Roxanne "Rocky" Salcido.

Please join us to celebrate her life Saturday morning October 15, 2022, at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Grants at 224 Mountain Road in Grants, NM. Burial will follow at San Mateo Cemetery with a reception at the San Mateo Fire Department.
