Gary Darrell Eighmy

Gary Darrell Eighmy, 74, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away November 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 29, 1950, in Boulder City, Nevada; the eldest son of William “Bill” Eighmy and Janetta Joy Eighmy.

Gary graduated from Basic High School in 1968. He married his high school sweetheart Patsy Jo “Jody” Lowes on October 17,1969, in Henderson, Nevada. In 1970, Gary went to work as a pipefitter with the Plumber and Pipefitters Local 525 and retired in 2005. He was a lifelong resident of Henderson.

Gary especially loved fishing, hunting, riding ATVs and traveling via RV and cruising. Recently, he enjoyed going to karaoke.

Gary is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jody; sons: Robert (Holly) Eighmy of Henderson, Nevada and Paul (Frances) Eighmy of Elcho, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren: Preston (Sierra) Eighmy of Cedar City, Utah; Hayden Eighmy, of Henderson, Nevada; Jacob Eighmy (Madeline McGinnis) of Elcho, Wisconsin; Brecken Eighmy of Henderson, Nevada; Kaleb Eighmy of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Emily Eighmy of Henderson, Nevada; and Lauren Eighmy and Joshua Eighmy of Elcho, Wisconsin; One great grandson; Everest Eighmy of Cedar City, Utah; sister, Pamela Levy of Las Vegas, Nevada; brother, Chuck (Becky) Eighmy of Boulder City, Nevada; as well as several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his companion, Karen Diehl of Henderson, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his son, Bradley Eighmy; parents: Joy Eighmy and Bill Eighmy; and his sister, Carol Mancha.

Funeral services for Gary will be held Friday, December 27, 2024, beginning at 1:00 PM at Palm Mortuary - Henderson, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Gary will be laid to rest in Palm Henderson Cemetery in Henderson, NV.
