Georgia Anne Georgia Anne Abeel Doyle

Georgie Anne (Abeel) Doyle, 87 of Henderson, Nevada passed away on May 8, 2014. She was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her mother Anne and father Verne Abeel, son Mark Steven and her sisters Gail Abeel and Jeanne Brodek.

She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Aunt. Georgia is survived by her loving husband Jim of 65 years, her devoted children, Terry Crispell (Edward) of Henderson, Nevada, Thomas James (JoAnn) of Dallas, Texas and Mary Beth Bell (Matthew) of Santa Clara, California.

Georgia attended Augustana College where she majored in music and after college, taught voice and piano. Georgia had a beautiful singing voice and was a soloist for many weddings and funerals. She was the school secretary to Sister Grace Imelda at Saint Anne’s Elementary school and spent many years as a caregiver to the elderly while they lived in Albuquerque. She also was a beautiful painter. Most precious to her were the times that she spent traveling with her husband and children. She also loved being “Nana and Mimi Mommy” to her 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was known, at a drop of a hat, when music played to start dancing no matter where it was with her son-in-laws.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 3-7pm at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the same location with private burial following. In lieu of flowers the family has requested a donation be made to the American Kidney Foundation in memory of their son Mark Steven Doyle at www.kidney.org.
