AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Gerry P. Gamble

5 novembre 1943 – 25 juin 2020
Avis de décès de Gerry P. Gamble
AUX SOINS DE

Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary & Cemetery

Gerry Philip Gamble, age 76, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020. He was born on November 5, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the youngest child of Theodore Roosevelt Gamble and Ella (Kingsford) Gamble. Paternal grandparents were Benjamin Franklin Gamble and Theresa (Lambson) Gamble. Maternal grandparents were Edward Francis Kingsford and Ethelyn (Dowle) Kingsford.

Gerry was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He had a pup named "Uncontonner" growing up, no one ever knew where he came up with that name. Gerry attended school in Utah and graduated from Granger High School in Granger, Utah in 1961. He played Varsity football and wrestled on the Varsity team, lettering in both sports. His favorite classes were science and math.

Gerry attended the University of Utah in Salt Lake City for one year, before being called to a mission in Berlin, Germany. Upon his return, he met and married Judy Hall and fathered two children, Paige Noel and Garrison Philip. They later divorced. Gerry continued his studies at the University of Utah and graduated in 1974 with a degree in Medical Technology.

Gerry was employed by the Veteran's Administration. Gerry then met the love of his life, Billie, they were married March 29th, 1990. They were sealed in the temple in Reno, Nevada on April 28, 2001, with his brother Mel and sister Eileen in attendance. They loved and adored one another every day of their 30 years together.

Gerry was affectionately known by many names: Dad, Daddio, Pops, Grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. He shared his love of flying and airplanes with Garrison and Brett. He built a plane with Garrison and it flew...he also crashed it right in front of him. Thankfully, he was not injured. This did not deter his love of flying. He and Brett spent a lot of time at the hangar, Gerry teaching Brett all about airplanes and how they work, which sparked an interest in Brett that lead to him becoming an Aviation Crew Chief in the U.S. Air Force.

Gerry loved history, especially the history of World War II. He loved to collect WWII memorabilia. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and banjo. He had the best sense of humor, a contagious laugh, and a great smile. He was so very loved and will be missed by many, every day.

Gerry was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; siblings: Max (Maurine) Gamble, Mel (Joan) Gamble, infant brother Robert K. Gamble, and another baby brother, both born before he was. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Billie Gamble; her sons: Brett (Kathy) Seekatz and Wade Seekatz, his son Garrison (Kerry) Semon; sister, Eileen Peck; grandchildren: Wade, Mathilda, Lothbrok, (coming soon-Eastwood), Gizelle, Gretchen, Garrison Coty, Chandler, McKenzie, Zakk and Spencer; as well as many nieces and nephews.
