

Gregg was born to Betty Nadine and Clifford Charles Hewkin in Effingham, Illinois, on August 5, 1950. Gregg graduated from Eastridge High School in Kankakee, Illinois and the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana, Illinois with majors in psychology and special education.
Gregg was a life long fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks and University of Illinois. Gregg worked for Kraft and Unilever for 39+ years making ice cream. He started his career sweeping floors at a Kraft plant in Illinois; and rose through the ranks to be plant manager in Illinois, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and retired from the Unilever Plant in Henderson, Nevada. The plant produces Breyers, Ben & Jerrys Popsicle, Good Humor, and Klondike.
Gregg is survived by his wife of 18 years, Debbie Hewkin of Henderson; their combined families of 6 children: Shannon (Matt Warren) and Kristopher of Long Beach, California; Jennifer (Aaron Reynolds) of McKinney, Texas; Stacy (Jarrod Killough) of Mesa, Arizona; Julia (Ryan Jappe) of Henderson, Nevada; and Kelly (Tyler Coon) of Henderson, Nevada; 12 grandchildren: Jillian, Colby, and Mallory of McKinney, Texas; Izzy and Gage of Mesa, Arizona; Chase, Luke, Ally, Abby, Brady, Brooklyn, and Carson, all of Henderson, Nevada; his brother, Terry (partner Michael) of Aurora, Illinois; and mother-in-law, Betty Scroggins of Pottsboro, Texas.
No services are scheduled as Gregg wanted to be remembered as he was. Donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Fund in Greggs name
