Gustavo Z. Boites

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gustavo Z. Boites (birth name Gustavo B. Gonzalez); beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this life on April 28, 2025 at the age of 77.

Born on March 29, 1948 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico; Gustavo was a man of strength, kindness, humility, and unwavering dedication to his dear family and friends. He is remembered for his generosity, strong work ethic, resiliency, and the many lives he touched with his presence.

Gustavo spent his life's work as a sheet metal mechanic, working for the same company for over 30 years, and was known for his military service of 7 years, which included the latter part of the Vietnam War. He found great joy in personal passions, such as working on restoring classic cars and trucks. He also enjoyed many enriching hobbies such as fishing, golfing, and gardening. His love for family, culture, and new learning was evident in all he did.

Though he is no longer with us, Gustavo's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Gustavo is survived by his dedicated wife of 50 years, Lourdes Boites; his daughter, Yadira Dixon; his son, Gustavo Boites and his wife Sierra; and his grandchildren: Daniela, Anjali, Jacob, Catherine and Emilia.

A visitation for Gustavo will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 14, 2025 beginning at 10:00 AM, both at Palm Mortuary Henderson, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Gustavo will be laid to rest with military honors in Palm Henderson Cemetery in Henderson, Nevada.
