Joyce Elsie Folker

Joyce Holm Folker passed away on November 5, 2014 in Las Vegas, NV. She was born to Arnold and Evelyn Holm on May 2, 1936. Joyce graduated from Anaconda High School in Anaconda, MT in 1953. She continued her education in Bozeman, MT and earned her degree as a registered nurse in 1957 from Montana State College. With her nursing degree in hand she worked at several medical facilities, including Chicago, IL and Los Angeles, CA and finally settling in Las Vegas at Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital. Joyce and Robert met and were married in 1962. As a couple they enjoyed many interests together such as hunting, fishing, skiing and traveling. Joyce was an avid animal lover and especially loved her golden retrievers, Jummie and Sirsir. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and three brothers, William, Edward, and Robert., She is survived by her husband, Robert, son Edward, granddaughter, Nicole, great grandson, Tristan and niece Sandra Bash, nephew, Gary Holm, and several great grand nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held Nov. 14, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015 In lieu of flowers, please donations may be made to Nevada SPCA, 4810 West Dewey Dr., Las Vegas, NV 89118.
