

Our family sadly announces the passing of Joyce A Hummel Singer, 90, from a hard fought battle with dementia. She left this world surrounded by love and family.
Joyce was born in Chicago, December 30th, 1934 to George and Louise Harvey. Joyce spent part of her youth in Camden, NJ and returned to Chicago to finish her school years. Joyce loved being a school bus driver for special needs children at Echo School, South Holland IL. Joyce moved to Las Vegas in 1982 and worked various jobs until finding her calling at the Clark County Marriage Commissioners Office. She loved interacting with all the couples getting their marriage licenses and performing their marriages. Joyce’s favorite pastime was playing bingo and following her Chicago Cubs.
Joyce is survived by her loving family. Teri-Ellen (Jeff) Hammond, Carla (Jerry) Shallon, Janice (Jim) Kernahan and Caryn (Rob) Neumuller, along with her 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Mary Harvey, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Sonny, son Bob, parents, brother George T Harvey and sister Patricia Kebschull.
Joyce enjoyed living life to the fullest. In her memory please celebrate her life by wearing colorful clothing or Cubs attire.
A viewing will be held Feb 10th from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Palm Mortuary 800 S Boulder HIghway Henderson NV 89015.
Funeral Services will be held Feb 11th 9:00 AM at Palm Mortuary with a procession to Southern Nevada Veterans Cemetery, Boulder City.
