

Kenneth Neal; beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of 77. He was born on January 4, 1947, in Kingman, Arizona, and spent his childhood in Fairbanks, Alaska. Kenneth (Ken) led a remarkable life filled with hard work, kindness, and unfailing generosity. He achieved great success as an entrepreneur, building various businesses across many fields. Ken's exceptional intelligence, strong work ethic, and belief in the power of knowledge guided his path to success. He possessed an extraordinary ability to love, never turning away anyone who crossed his path. His genuine compassion touched the lives of all who knew him.
Ken was a devoted father, hard worker, and successful businessman; who prioritized his family above all else and devoted everything to their happiness. He was a man with profound listening abilities, and his eyes would light up when engaged in conversation, providing a sympathetic ear to all. He cherished spending time with loved ones, particularly immersing himself in the beauty of the great outdoors. Ken had an insatiable thirst for adventure, often embarking on memorable moments with his children. He loved exploring the wilderness from his years growing up in Alaska. He also could never resist the allure of a dirt road, often embarking on exciting journeys across Nevada. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and exploring nature's wonders, filled with treasured moments he shared with his children.
Driven by his core values of hard work and self-made success, Ken believed diligent efforts always yield rewards. These principles became his legacy as he passed them on to his loved ones. As the owner of Highway Rentals, Ken dedicated many years to building a successful enterprise and providing for his family. His expertise in work ethics, business philosophy, signage, and craftsmanship instilled valuable skills in his sons, shaping their skill sets and careers in adulthood.
Ken was a heavy equipment operator in the US Army from 1966 to 1968; serving honorably during the Vietnam War.
On April 20, 1982, Ken married the love of his life, Roxanne Phillips. Together, they built a beautiful home and a lasting bond in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Ken's legacy will forever be carried in the hearts of his children: Michael Smith, Donald Holmes (deceased), Jaimie Mulheron, Beau Neal, and Jessica Simpson; his grandchildren: Madison, Alexandria, Victoria, Rebecca, Madi, Jace, Gregory, and Leona and two great-grandchildren.
In honoring Ken's memory, his family encourages everyone to treasure their loved ones, embrace the beauty of nature, and always embrace kindness and forgiveness to all. His spirit will continue to serve as a guiding light for all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A visitation for Kenneth will be held Monday, April 8, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Palm Mortuary Henderson, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Following the visitation will be a funeral services with military honors beginning at 10:40 AM at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005, where he will be laid to rest.
A Reception will follow from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club, 310 Pacific Ave, Henderson, NV 89015.
