Kristina Mahaffey

Kristina Mahaffey was born May 23rd,1954 at St. Rose Hospital to RL and Patsy Scow in Henderson NV. She grew up in Henderson and graduated Basic High School in 1972. That same year she married Warren Mahaffey, also of Henderson NV. In 1976 they welcomed their first child Ronald Stuart and in 1977 their daughter Dawn Stephanie. She raised her family in Henderson as was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked at Ethel M. Chocolates for 19 years before retiring. She enjoyed taking her nieces and nephews to the yearly Halloween party and later her grandchildren who were the light of her life. She enjoyed working in the Library at Walker Elementary as well as at church, she always loved children and was a Sunday school teacher as well for kindergarten age children. She is preceded in death by her sister Nancy, Husband Warren, mother Patsy and father RL. She is survived by her son Ronald (Heather) and her daughter Dawn as well as her two grandchildren Stuart and Emily. Her two sisters Lisa Wilkins (Floyd), Gail Forsyth (Carl) Her brothers Eric, Kurt (Tamara) and Howard (Sherroll). She is also survived by a total of 16 nieces and nephews and, a large extended family whom she loved dearly. She passed away October 17th 2022 in Henderson NV. Services to be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Desert Rose chapel 567 Pacific Ave Henderson NV 89015 on November 12th 2022. Family gathering and meet at 10 am with the memorial service starting at 11am, luncheon to follow, provided by the Desert Rose Ward Relief Society.
