

LaPriel E. Linford, age 93, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024. She was born the youngest of nine children on April 25, 1930 in Panguitch, Utah. The family relocated from Utah to live in McKeeversville tent city in Boulder city for 8 years while her father worked on hoover dam. LaPriel graduated from Boulder High School in 1948, She went on to continue her education, graduating from college in Cedar City in 1951.
Shortly after graduation, LaPriel married J.H. Linford in 1951. They relocated back to Henderson, Nevada and had four children. Unfortunately, the marriage did not last; and LaPriel was left to raise four children alone with little to no resources. To support her growing family, she worked as a grocery checker with several supermarkets over the years until retiring.
LaPriel was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandchildren, who loved visiting and spending time with her family. She loved her grandchildren, playing duces wild poker machines at her favorite casinos, and all types of music from opera to hehaw. LaPriel lived life to the fullest, was a true matriarch of her family and will be truly missed.
LaPriel is preceded in death be her parents. She is survived by her four children: Ellen Portolese (Tommy), Emma Fairbanks (Ralph), Wayne Linford, and James Linford (Ryane); 16 grandchildren, and 32 great grandchildren.
A visitation for LaPriel will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Following the visitation LaPriel will be laid to rest in Palm Henderson Cemetery, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
