LaRue A. Kipper

LaRue A. Kipper, 92, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on May 21, 2022 from natural causes, just two weeks shy of celebrating their 71st wedding anniversary. She was born in Boone County, Nebraska on January 30, 1930 to Tillman and Esther Hendrickson. She was raised on a farm in Newman Grove, Nebraska and graduated high school in 1949.

After graduating from high school, she moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where she was employed as a secretary. While there, she met Paul, and they were married on June 9, 1951. Together they raised six children. An athletic family resulted and LaRue was her children's biggest fan. She would sometimes boo the referee who mistakenly called a foul on one of her kids, even though her husband and two sons were sports officials at the time.

LaRue was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; who enjoyed spending time with her family, cross-stitching, knitting and playing bingo.

LaRue is preceded in death by her parents: Tillman and Esther Hendrickson, and sister, LoJean Nelsen. She is survived by her loving husband, Paul; her children: Gregory (Nancy), Scott (Annie), Kristi (Mark) Watson, Lori, Karla (Bob) Scheer and Lana (David) Blazovich; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; her sister, Sharon (Dean) King; and brother-in-law, Merle Nelsen.

Funeral services will take place at 9:00 a.m. on June 8th at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Henderson with burial following at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City.

Serving as Honorary pallbearers will be her six grandsons: Drew Watson, Adam Watson, Matthew Kipper, Keaton Scheer, Kyler Scheer, and Jordan Blazovich.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Horizon Ridge Rehabilitation Center, St. Rose Siena Hospital, and Comfort Home Health & Hospice for the loving care they provided.
