Leonida was born on February 20, 1940 in Liliw, Laguna, Philippines. She graduated from Plaridel High School in Manila and received a Doctor of Optometry from Centro Escolar University in Manila. She met and married Antholyn Monton Torres on November 27, 1969.
Leonida worked and had a career as an optical technician and was an owner/operator of a grocery/restaurant. She had a passion for cooking, ballroom dancing, traveling, spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her spouse, Antholyn, her sons, Alvin, Alastair, and daughter, Lovilynn.
