Lester William Rosin, Jr., was born in Aurora (near Denver), Colorado, on January 28, 1957. After a very short illness he passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep on September 1, 2021. He was born into a military family as an “Army brat” to parents Lester and Maria “Toni” Rosin. He had an older sister, Debbie, and would later have a baby brother, Michael. He was affectionately referred to by his nickname “Kiki” by family members when he was young. The family would move every couple of years until his Dad’s retirement from the Army in Lakewood, California, in 1972. Les (as he preferred to be called) served a short time in the Air Force. Upon returning to Lakewood, he started working at McDonnell Douglas as a quality assurance inspector where he would eventually meet and marry Trina. Unfortunately their marriage did not last but they did have two beautiful boys, Branden and Justin, who were his pride and joy. He was especially proud that Branden had just graduated from US Army boot camp following in the Rosin military tradition. A few years later he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, to be near his Mom and brother (Dad had passed away). Anyone who knew Lester knew he was obsessive about things he was passionate about. His main passions were his beloved Denver Broncos and his favorite quarterback John Elway; his overwhelming (and that’s an understatement) collection of Hot Wheels plus rare collectibles of other things he enjoyed; his insatiable taste for the hottest hot sauce and peppers he could find; and, of course, his passion for knowledge about UFO’s. If you were willing to listen, you could be subjected to hours of his knowledge and expertise. He also enjoyed time going fishing, camping, and gambling with Michael. Lester is preceded in death by his dearly loved parents who surely welcomed him with open arms. He is survived by his two sons, Branden and Justin, sister Debbie, brother Michael, brother-in-law Terry, and nephew Blake. Lester was always one for making a crowd laugh, especially with his Elvis impressions, and for that he will truly be missed and loved forever.
Lester loved seeing the smiles, happiness, and innocence on the faces of small children and prayed for those that were suffering. Because of that, in lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be named in his memory to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Thank you.
