

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Riopka, son-in-law Walter Makasziw, and five siblings.
Lidia was born on January 8, 1925 in Skotorevo, Ukraine. After living in Germany for 8 years she settled in Rochester, NY with her husband and daughter. In 2012 she moved to Las Vegas, NV to be with two of her three daughters. While in Rochester, she retired from Eastman Kodak company where she worked as a Key Punch operator for the Payroll Department. She was also an active member of Holy Epiphany Ukrainian Catholic Church, loved gardening, spending time with her family and reading Danielle Steel books.
She is survived by her three daughters; Anna (Petro) Tiutiunnyk, Irene (Walter) Makasziw, and Lida (Paul) Ungaro; grandchildren Peter (Tammy) Tiutiunnyk, Oksana (Daniel) Ward, Taras (Kara) Makasziw, Tamara (Charles) Byrd, Kristie Bray, Taras (Jennifer) Tiutiunnyk, Katia Tiutiunnyk, Jennifer (Robert) Ungaro, Kelly (Jeremy) Greer, Alisa (Anthony) Sassone, Jenna (Peter) Markson and Rachel Ungaro; 20 Great-grandchildren, and two siblings in Ukraine.
A visitation and funeral is scheduled for Friday April 5, at 10AM, with a reception to follow at Palm Mortuary & Cemetery, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. The family would like to thank the staff at Merrill Gardens Memory Care and Pro Care Hospice of Nevada for their loving care and sweet dedication for Lidia.
