Linda O'Donnell Small

Linda O'Donnell Small, age 80, of Henderson, Nevada passed away at her home with loved ones on Friday, April 11, 2025. She was born August 2,1944, the youngest of three children had by Victor and Mary Lee O'Donnell. Linda was married to Ray F. Small for 52 years before his passing in 2012.

In 1968, Linda and Ray moved from Carlsbad to Las Vegas. Linda was a stay at home mom until both of her boys were of school age. She supported all of their activities; there was nothing she loved more than watching her boys play soccer. As they got older, and no matter how far they would scatter, Linda's passion for preparing delicious meals always brought her family together at her table.

Once her boys were school age, Linda went back to work. To help support her growing family, Linda had a 25 year career, working for the Clark County Health Department.

In her spare time, Linda enjoyed her own hobbies and interests. She was very creative and was a phenomenal artist; particularly oil painting.

Linda's whole life was dedicated to loving, serving and caring for others. She never sought the spot light, or looked for recognition. She had the uncanny ability to make every person feel like they were who she was waiting to see and like they mattered.

In addition to her capacity for love and compassion, Linda was the strongest and toughest person her family ever met. She was a three time cancer survivor, endured many surgeries and had constant debilitating pain the entire last year of her life. She never complained and never stopped taking care of her family. Linda was the matriarch, the heartbeat, and the backbone of her family. Although she has left this earth; she will forever live in the hearts of her family.

Linda is survived by her sons: Clint Small and Brian Small; her, sister, Rosemary Richardson; brother, William Bud O'Donnell; grandchildren: Shelby Cerruti, Madison Small, Alex Small Logan Melton and Lauryn Melton Small; and great grandson, Wolf Cerruti.

A celebration of life for Linda will be held Monday, April 28, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Palm Mortuary Henderson, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Linda will be laid to rest in Palm Henderson Cemetery in Henderson, Nevada.

Immediately following the services, the family will continue to celebrate Linda's life with a gathering at her home at 140 Jay Porter, Henderson; all are welcome to join.
