Lois Ann Blalock

Lois Ann Blalock, age 65, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2020. Lois was born at Spohn Hospital May 2, 1955 in Corpus Christi, Texas to her parents Douglas and Albina Brown. Lois grew up in Southern Texas with her older sister, Linda, younger sister, Joyce; and three younger brothers, James, Joe and David. As a child, Lois loved to play tennis and ride horses, and was active in church groups. One of the things she was most proud was winning a local beauty contest.

In 1974, Lois graduated from Garland High School. Like any student, she loved some classes more than others. A couple of her favorites were typing, which came easy for her; and the other was biology, as she always wanted to pursue a career as a nurse. She was also an athlete, and played tennis for her school, until tennis elbow got in the way.

While Lois, never pursued a career as a nurse, she did find her passion early in life, baking and decorating cakes. She worked her whole life, creating many master pieces and creations for others to enjoy.

Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; who's centered her life around her family. She was blessed with two children, five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Lois was also blessed to meet her life partner and companion in 1999, Kenneth Blalock. They blended their lives and families together and shared many wonderful adventures. After over 18 years together, Kenneth and Lois were married May 20, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Lois lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed roller skating with the grandkids, going to carnivals, playing her favorite slot machines, and spending time with her two Chihuahua's Study and Foxy. She had a heart of gold, and will truly be missed by those dearest to her.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; children: Mandi (Jessie) and Douglas; five grandchildren: Ashley (James), Alyssa (Anthony), Jayden, Sophie, and Josie; great grandchildren: Emma, Carter and Atlas; two sisters: Joyce and Linda; and three brothers: James, Joe and David.

A visitation for Lois will be held Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at 5:00 PM, both at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.

Due to Covid-19, all government restrictions will be in place, and guests in attendance must wear a mask.
