Maria Eleanor Sheppard

On the morning on April 19, 2023, Maria passed away at the age of 73 years old in Henderson, Nevada. Maria was born in Staten Island, New York, on December 13, 1949. She was the first child of Eleanor and Timothy Gladstone Borden. On October 12, 1984, she was married to her husband of 29 years Stefano Sheppard. Maria established her career at an early age, which spanned nearly 50 years, caring for countless individuals as a registered nurse working in hospitals, private practice offices, as well as for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Most prominently, for nearly the final 20 years of her career working at the Boulder Medical Clinic, located in Boulder City, Nevada. She was devoted to her passion for medicine and the well-being of the patients under her care. In the recent years of her retirement, one of her passions in life was following and cheering for her local Vegas Golden Knights hockey team of the NHL. She would never miss watching a game on television, would keep up with the stats of players, and would follow any news released related to the team. Watching them win a game would always light up her life. Maria was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Borden, her father, Timothy Gladstone Borden, her brother, Timothy Henry Borden, and her husband Stefano Sheppard. She is survived in death by her son Timothy Sheppard.
