Mary M Hagen

She was born in Sioux City, Iowa on April 7, 1926.

Mary moved to Henderson in 1946 with her infant daughter Karla, and her future husband, Herman Hagen. After arriving in Henderson she lived for a short while with her sister Vera Jeffrey and her family.

Mary and Herman were married in November of 1946. Currently three of Mary's four children, Karla, Herman Jr. and Jerry live in Henderson and Laura lives in Ohio.

With four children Mom was a busy woman with school activities, sports, such as baseball and swimming. Summertime was Mom's favorite time of the year, she loved being involved with her children and going to Lake Mead several times a week. and going to Mount Charleston to beat the heat.

In 1968, Mary, Herman and Laura moved to Pahrump, Nevada. They lived in Pahrump for ten years. While living in Pahrump mom took painting lessons and discovered a talent she didn't know she had. Mom became an artist and her flower paintings are fabulous. After losing her husband in 1986, she pursued traveling. She traveled to several countries in Europe, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, and many national parks in the United States.

Visitation will be held at 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Thursday, November 14, 2013 followed by the funeral servicebeing held at 11:00 am Friday, November 15, 2013 at 11:00 am at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 S.
